DAY1Great South Coast and Northern Lights
09:00 AM pick up from your hotel or Reykjavik meeting point of your choice. Please note: It may take up to 30 minutes to pick up each person, but you must be prepared and wait at 09:00 AM.
This gem of Iceland tour package will take you south and then continue east as we take you on two days of amazing adventure sightseeing. On the way to the first stop, we drive towards the slowly rising sun, the very unusual Seljalandsfoss, where you can actually walk behind the gracefully falling waterfall. For such an exciting experience, it's well worth a little moisture!
Our next highlight is another waterfall, Skogafoss, located at the foot of a very famous volcano, the Eyjafjalljokull. On a clear day, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of Mýrdalsjokull, another volcanic mountain glacier. As we move on, we come to Reynisfjara, a black beach where some fantastic sights, such as the picturesque basalt column structure and the famous Reynisdrangar peak, will greet us. We will drive through the charming town of Vik on our way to our accommodation. Throughout the day, you can expect to see breathtaking landscapes made up of expansive lava fields, waterfalls, black sand and glacial tongues. We will enjoy a relaxing evening and if the conditions are right, we will chase those northern lights! The countryside close to Vatnajokull, away from the lights of the city, is perfect for discovering this natural phenomenon. Your hotel will be in Hofn.

DAY2Land of Ice
Today you will get to know the glaciers for real, venturing into the sparkling blue/white world of ice caves with a qualified guide and visiting the extraordinary glacial lagoon Jokusarlon. Get up close and personal with the huge glacial tongue of the great Vatnajokull, it doesn't get much better than this!
The famous Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon, famous for several blockbusters such as <Batman Mystery>and <The Secret Life of Walter Mitty>, is a breathtaking place. Spectacular icebergs, some incredibly large, have collapsed from the receding Breiðamerkurjokull glacier. They jostle each other in the vast lagoon before gliding off on a surreal and solemn journey across the Atlantic Ocean. Many of these natural ice sculptures wash up on nearby diamond beaches, where you'll see them shine like diamonds as they lie on the beach's dramatic coal black.
Next, you will enter the glacier with a qualified guide! We will visit the fascinating Crystal Ice Cave in winter and the Katla Ice Cave in summer. The melting/freezing cycle of glaciers creates new caves every winter, and they are always changing, whether from year to year or from winter to winter. The journey into the ice cave will offer photographers the most amazing opportunity to capture the glittering blue light that passes through the glacier. Surprisingly deep sapphire blue shades will envelops you, these hues are caused by ice compression, which is how we perceive light and color, and blue is sometimes exacerbated by algae.
After visiting the ice cave, we headed to Reykjavik. On the way back to the city, we will keep an eye out for the northern lights, and if conditions permit, we will stop briefly. We returned to Reykjavik around 21:00 in the evening.
