12-day tour of three countries in Lapland

From Beijing, the capital of China, you will transfer through Copenhagen, Denmark, or Stockholm, Sweden, and finally arrive in Oslo, Norway, the first stop of our journey. Narvik Polar Park

Polar Park is an animal park in Bardu Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The park opened on 18 June 1994, displaying animals in their natural habitat. With only 12 enclosures on 110 hectares, the park claims to have one of the world's biggest area-per-animal ratio. It also notes that it is the world's "most northern animal park."

The park specializes in Nordic fauna, including Norway's four largest predators: brown bear, Eurasian lynx, wolf, and wolverine. There are also moose, muskox, red deer, and reindeer. 

Narvik War Museum

Narvik War Museum is based on the battle of Narvik in April 1940 and creates an understanding of what happens in the region when the naval battles and the mountain war – 62 dramatic days – unfolds. Through exhibiting artefacts, interactive digital surfaces, texts, and pictures, the museum displays how Nazi-Germany’s attack and occupation portrays and draw lines from the days of peace in 1945 into our own time. The exhibitions contribute to thoughts and reflections concerning “us” and “the others”, the value of a human life and how we must understand war to build peace.

Abisko National Park

Located in the Swedish Lapland region, it covers an area of 77 square kilometers and is known for its stunning natural scenery and diverse Nordic wildlife. In winter, Abiscu National Park is a popular spot for tracking the mysterious northern Lights and cross-country skiing, and in summer becomes the best place to hike or climb in the midnight sun. There are a number of hiking and climbing routes in the park, with obvious signs and amenities along the way. It is the main gateway to the "King's Road", where you can enjoy a scenic Arctic landscape, majestic mountains and lakes, and wild moose and reindeer are often spotted by the roadside.

Aurora sky station

By snowmobile, our journey to the lake begins. Along the way, we passed through snow-covered forests with smooth icy lakes at our feet, and the scenery was like a fairytale world. On the frozen lake, we cut an ice hole with professional tools and experienced a unique Nordic ice hole fishing activity. In the cold air, we felt the fun and expectation of fishing. When the fish take the bait, we quickly remove them and take them to the campfire. Here, we personally skewer freshly caught fish on roasting sticks and sit around the campfire, enjoying the warmth of the fire and the smell of grilled fish. In the first time, we tasted the delicious fish caught and baked by our own hands, and the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction was unforgettable.

At the Rovaniemi Indigenous Reindeer Estate, enjoy a delicious reindeer meal cooked by the owners of the deer park in a log cabin. Watch the large reindeer that are endemic to northern Finland, feed the herd yourself or play with the fawn and experience the polar driving pleasure of deer sledding under the protection of the owner of the farm.

Santa Claus Village

Santa Claus Village is located within the Arctic Circle, 8 km north of Vaniemi. It attracts visitors every year from all over the world who want to see Santa Claus in person. Santa Claus Village is a group of wooden buildings that includes a spire with a main entrance, a restaurant, flower beds, Santa's office, a residence, a post office, a gift shop, and an elk park. The tents and antlers of the Laplanders are also interesting souvenirs. Here you can also get a certificate to cross the Arctic Circle. The Santa Claus Post Office sells fairy-tale stamps, cards and gifts. Letters will be stamped with a special postmark. The post office offers pre-order signed letters from Santa to be delivered to relatives and friends on Christmas Day. There are beautiful elk in the nearby deer park, which rest in summer and run on the snow in winter, bringing Christmas fun to visitors.

Marking the Arctic Circle

In Finland, the official demarcation line is located near Rovaniemi and Sodankyla, and the official demarcation mark is located in the nearby Santa Claus village. Visitors here will put their feet across the North Pole line at 66 degrees 33 minutes north latitude to take a photo, and can buy a certificate to reach the Arctic Circle at the visitor center.

This forest was once home to the Sami people, the indigenous people here, who held the land in awe and respect.

The Fjellstua Cafe in the hilltop station serves local specialties for dinner or light meals. The Tromsdalen Cable car runs between Solliveien on the island of Tromsdalen and the summit of Storsteinen (421 m above sea level) in 4 minutes one way. The Tromsø cable car has a total of two carriages, named 'Seal' and 'Polar Bear', which can accommodate 28 people each.
