DAY1The famous Golden Circle route
The first day of the adventure will take us on the world-famous Golden Circle route - three legendary attractions widely considered to be the best in Iceland.
We'll start with Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its geological and historical importance. This is the original site of Althingi, a dramatic glacial plain where a group of Viking nobles established the first Icelandic parliament in 930 AD. Reykjavik's modern parliament retains its name, making it one of the oldest democratic institutions in the world. Thingvellir also hosts a seismic rift that marks the widening gap between the Eurasian and North American plates. A unique place that is the only visible land border between the two continents.
Our next stop will be the Geysir Geothermal Area - famous for the bubbling geysirs that have become synonymous with Iceland. We will see the now dormant Great Geysir - the first geysir to appear in English, from which they get their name. Next to Stocker Geysir, the most active geysir in the region, a stream of boiling water shoots 30 meters into the air every few minutes or so. The powerful geothermal force beneath Iceland's surface has made the country what it is today, and the Geysir Geothermal Zone is the best way to witness its incredible power firsthand.
The final stop on the Golden Circle route is Gullfoss (or "Golden Falls") - an extremely beautiful two-level waterfall named for the golden color of its water as it cascades over dark brown rocks. Below it is a verdant valley, and above it a rainbow often appears, presenting an amazing sight.
After visiting the Golden Circle, we will drive south to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world, Seljalandsfoss. On a clear day, we can even see Hekla Volcano on the way!
After all these adventures, we will head to the Country Hotel, which is a great place to see the flashing colors of the Northern Lights.

DAY2Jokulsarlon and ice cave adventure
Our day starts with a hearty Icelandic breakfast before we hit the road to the Jokulsarlon and nearby Diamond Beach - passing moss-covered lava fields, volcano-scarred desert, and some spectacular rock formations that provide a vivid reminder of the eruption. All these years. At that time, you will be able to see the majestic Breidamerkurjokull, which spreads out like a tongue from Vatnajokull, the largest glacier in the whole of Europe.
The Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon sits in its shadow and is famous for the sparkling icebergs floating on its icy blue surface. Many of them wash up on the nearby Diamond Beach, where they shine like beautiful diamonds on the black sand. Both places are breathtakingly beautiful and will leave you with memories you'll treasure forever.
After leaving the Jokulsarlon, we will head to Skaftafell Nature Reserve for another adventure. Your certified glacier guide will meet you there and take you to the fascinating Vatnajokull. After an amazing glacier hike, we will enter a natural ice cave into the icy depths of the glacier.
Ice caves in Iceland usually form in winter. When summer meltwater freezes, they form huge pockets and beautiful patterns in the royal blue ice. During the glacier hike, your guide will explain exactly how these incredible ice sheets are formed.
Such trips are very dependent on the weather, so we will choose the ice caves to visit according to the conditions of the day. As the temperature in the ice cave is below freezing, please don't forget to wear warm clothes.
Our accommodation for the evening will be at the Adventure Hotel Geirland.

DAY3South Coast sightseeing
After a nutritious breakfast, we will begin our tour of the South Coast. If road conditions permit, we take a detour to Fjardðrargljufur Canyon, also known as "Bieber Canyon", where the famous singer filmed his music video.
Next, we will visit the Eldhraun lava field before heading to the iconic Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. There, we will see the waves of the white crest of the Atlantic Ocean washing over the black sand in stark contrast. A cluster of basalt sea stacks stands at the edge of the cliff, reminiscent of Ireland's Giant's Causeway. We will also see Reynisdrangar basalt columns, which rise from the sea like jagged peaks. Folklore states that they were once three trolls who were turned to stone by the sun when they tried to tow a ship back to land.
We will also stop at the equally impressive Skogafoss Waterfall - its wide waterfall cascades down from 60 metres into the pool below. We will climb the winding path next to the waterfall and enjoy the magnificent views of the entire area. Skogafoss also plays an important role in Icelandic mythology, and our guide will point out two strange rock formations that are believed to be trolls fossilized by dawn. Some locals also believe that Viking settlers hid a treasure chest somewhere beneath the falls, offering great wealth to whoever found it.
The famous Eyjafjallajokull ice cap stands above Skogafoss, giving you a good view of this majestic peak.
In the evening, we will return to Reykjavik for the night.

DAY4Active volcano hiking and Northern lights
On the last day, you will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience with us, hiking and visiting the site of a newly erupting volcano! It is truly an experience you will never forget!
Volcanic eruptions are rare events and of a very bad nature. The rarity, sheer force and potential for destructive power behind eruptions give them a hypnotic appeal. Not all eruptions are the same, and some spew ash into the sky, while others spew molten magma.
For our last stop, if you're traveling in winter (September to March), we'll be driving out in search of the magical Northern Lights. Our journey to the Northern Lights begins with the thrill of the chase. Once your guide picks you up, get ready for the hunt. You will drive into a starry night of unparalleled beauty.
Unfortunately, because the weather forecast changes daily, we can't tell you exactly where our exploration of the Northern Lights will take us in advance. But one thing is guaranteed - we'll take you away from the city lights! We can escape light pollution by going to Hvalfjorður, Þingvellir, Reykjanes or some other rural area in southern Iceland. Travelling by minibus means we can reach alternative locations that larger buses cannot.
Please note: The Northern Lights Chase is only available during the winter months from September to April. Since the Northern Lights spectacle is largely dependent on the weather, if you don't see the aurora, you can try again unlimited times, valid for up to 3 years. That's right, you'll be able to rejoin the Northern Lights Chase until you succeed! What to do in this situation? Our customer service is ready to assist you and book your next retry. Keep in mind that if the trip ends without seeing the Northern Lights, there will be no refund. During the retry period, the journey will be carried out by light buses
Keep in mind that volcanic eruptions are a natural phenomenon and therefore difficult to predict. We are not guaranteed to see boiling lava, but when the main crater is dormant, you can still see fresh lava around the area.
