Latvia

Latvia is the second greenest country in the world. There are many forest parks in Latvia, including Gauya National Forest Park, Tervete Nature Park and Kemeri National Forest Park. The attractions in Gauya Park include wood carvings, a zoo and the village of Ligatne, which was awarded the European Excellence Destination (2011, Tourism and Renewable Resources). Tervete Park, also famous for its wood carvings, was also awarded the European Excellence Destination (2009, Tourism and Conservation Areas). Kemeri is the largest wetland park in Europe.
