Uppsala is a city in central Sweden, located about 70 kilometers north of the capital Stockholm. It is the fourth largest city in Sweden and the holy place where the Swedish king holds his coronation ceremony. The urban population is 130,000. It is the religious center of Sweden. The oldest Catholic church in Northern Europe, Uppsala Cathedral, is located in this city. In 1164, Uppsala became the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Sweden. There are more than 10 museums in the city, including the Chinese Porcelain Museum and the Chinese Fossil Museum, which specialize in displaying Chinese exhibits.
